United First Financial founders were awarded Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2008 Utah Region for financial services

UFirst Executives: Don Jorgensen, Skyler Witman, Jonathan E. Bonnette, John Washenko, and Matt Lovelady

It all began as Accelerated Equity, a mortgage company operated by Skyler Witman and John Washenko.

In 2002 they began to research methods used by homeowners across the world to pay off their homes.  They then hire a team to use this knowledge to create the earliest versions of what is now know as the Money Merge Account™ system.

In 2005 a test market was run in Denver, Colorado with 400 clients.  These clients were achieving 20 % better savings and payoffs than was predicted when they signed up.

As the need increased, Skyler and John brought on board Jonathan E. Bonnette, Matt Lovelady, Don Jorgensen and Steve Smith to help.  Together they formed what is now known as United First Financial.

In July of 2008, United First Financial celebrated its release of Version 4; Money Merge Account Pro, Money Merge Account Express, and the Optimizer, which allows non-homeowners to benefit from this program. 

We are all excited to be representing a company and a set of founders dedicated to eliminating debt in America, and now, Canada.

Tia's current activities include investing, owning and managing a business in which her main mission is financial savings for consumers, teaching, and spending down time strengthening relationships with her family.

She currently resides in Columbus, OH with her husband, Michael and their daughters Imani and Nia.  She credits her success to God’s grace and to her parents, Joseph and Gloria Thomas for providing a solid foundation and supporting her unconditionally.
